2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid2007 Motor Trend car of the year

The Toyota Camry was first introduced in 1983 and the first U.S. build Camry was produced in 1988. The all new 2007 Camry Hybrid is a sixth-generation Camry and is designed to be sportier than its predecessors, trading in conservative image for a more modern and aggressive styling while offering improved fuel economy, it achieved a fuel economy of 40 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. The 2007 Camry Hybrid is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, it is available in one trims only. The 2007 Camry Hybrid is powered by Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) and is equipped with a standard 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder engine, when combined with a high-output electric motor produced a peak of 192 horsepower.

The 2007 Camry Hybrid is classified as a full hybrid in which it can be
powered by both gasoline and electric power source that varies power between gas and electric, or both as needed. The power steering, brakes, heating and AC are all powered by electric motor, which allows the car to be run by electric motor only.

The redesigned 2007 Toyota Camry was recently named Motor Trend's Car of the Year.  Motor Trend awards this coveted honor to one new or redesigned vehicle each model year, based on significance, superiority, and value.

The quarter finishes in 16.3 seconds at 92 mph, compared with 16.9 at 86 mph for the four.......read more

Performance is comparable to the base model Camry, since the gas engine is a 147-horsepower four-cylinder that's responsive when you need to get up to highway speeds quickly.....read more

I test drive both the Accord and Camry and eventually pick the Camry mainly due to the better gas mileage. Yes the power is not that great but it is adequate for my use. I really like the exterior styling however the interior is not quite as good as the Accord.
