new for the 2007 model year. The 2007 Lexus GS 450h
Hybrid is a 4 door, 5 passenger luxury sedan, available
in one trim only. It was first unveiled in 2005 New York
International Auto Show as a high-end series in the
luxurious GS lineup. It is the world first luxury
rear-wheel drive hybrid sedan on the market.
The 2007 Lexus GS 450h is equipped with a standard 3.5
liter, V6 engine and when combine with its gasoline
engine and the high-output, permanent magnet electric
motor produced a combined total of 339 horsepower. It is
capable of accelerate from zero to 60 mph in a mere 5.2
seconds, with top speed of 131mph, making it both the
quickest Lexus as well as the quickest hybrid vehicle on
the market today. The 2007 Lexus GS 450h has an EPA
estimated fuel economy rating of 25 mpg in the city and
28 mpg in the highway. A variable speed (VAR)
automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
